This is the first book I have read by this author, and I can honestly say it will not be the last. The story transports us to the beautiful seaside town of Blue Sands where Grace has returned to for a much needed break from the hectic life she has been living in the city.

Grace Clelland is an incredible woman who has been through a lot recently, especially the rather horrific breakup with Gavin who cruelly accused her of exaggerating the levels of anxiety she has been living with. As if this alone wasn’t enough to deal with, she also gets sacked from her job and suddenly finds herself feeling unsure of what to do next.

After speaking to her friend Joan who still lives in Blue Sands, she invites Grace to come and help out in the café she runs, and as Grace is desperately looking for a way to escape all the dramas in her life, she jumps at the chance. What she doesn’t expect though is the many ways in which this move will change her life, for the better!.

Upon her return she begins to strengthen old friendships and spend some quality time with her best friend, along with meeting plenty of new faces along the way too… but if you want to know what happens between them then you will have to read the book yourself.

This was such an immersive story that I found myself reading at every opportunity I could throughout the day. The characters are wonderfully developed and have their own voices and flaws that make them all the more relatable to the reader. The setting sounds like an absolute dream, and you can picture it clearly in your mind as the story unfolds. A truly marvellous story that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end.
