Jenn Reinvented is the second book in The Sweet Water Circle series and follows the story of Jennifer Colby-Kittler. She is strong minded woman who knows what she wants from life, and what she wants more than anything is another baby with her husband Russ in the hope that it will help fix the cracks that are forming in their relationship.
But Russ is far from agreeable when it comes to expanding their family, and this certainly adds to the strain they are already facing as a couple. Jenn’s sister Kait (who most of us recognise from the first book in this series – Project Kaitlyn) along with Jenn’s friends intervene, encouraging Jenn that joining a yoga class might allow her to regain some calmness in her life.
She reluctantly agrees to attend the classes as she is fully aware that this is her last attempt at doing something that could potentially salvage her troubled marriage, but when she meets the handsome instructor who is leading the class Jenn finds herself questioning what it is she really wants from life after all.
After reading – and loving – Project Kaitlyn, I had been eagerly anticipating the next book in this series and simply hoped it would live up to the incredibly high standards the first book had set. As soon as I had finished the first chapter I knew this would be an unforgettable read. Jenn is a character that I found my heart going out to from the moment we meet her. Despite her rather bossy nature, she has a huge heart, and I think it is quite obvious that there are reasons for her behaviour which we come to understand as the story progresses. It was really lovely to be reacquainted with Kait too and to find out a little about her life and how it has changed since the first book. Alongside a cast of interesting characters that provide humour and truly heartwarming moments throughout.
A wonderfully written story that had me hooked to the very end, I truly loved this story.
