My Thoughts

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is not the first book I have read by Rosie Dean, and from the moment I opened the book I just knew I would love this story.

Gigi has lived a rather privileged life. She has life the fast paced life that London provides, but now she has made the decision to leave all of the hustle and bustle behind her for a much quieter life on the Isle of Wight. There she purchases her dream house and has plans to lead a much more relaxed life doing something she truly enjoys.

But as we all know, things don’t always run as smoothly as you would like them to, and before long Gigi finds herself questioning whether or not she has made the right decision after all..

Rosie Dean has such a delightful writing style that really makes you feel as though you are living through all of the situations the characters face alongside them. The setting was brought to life wonderfully, I have never visited the Island myself, but this book really brought the picturesque place to life for me.

Gigi is a character that I really felt for from the off. She has certainly had some difficult situations to overcome throughout her lifetime and has grown as a person following the choices she has had to make along the way. She has such a fun, bubbly personality that really shines through on every single page.

I found myself going through a range of emotions as I followed life on the Island, from laughing out loud to feeling as though my heart could burst. Each chapter was exciting and had me desperate to carry on reading to find out what would happen next. A truly brilliant story that I just know others will love as much as I did.
