This was undoubtedly one of the most delightful books I have had the pleasure of reading lately!. Elle’s journey to finding love is far from smooth sailing, and we are instantly thrown into her adventurous escapades as she embarks on finding the one person who will capture her heart entirely.
Elle has made her fair share of bad decisions over the years, as we all have!, alongside her fleeting crushes and somewhat obsessive ways, it seems as though Elle is destined to be alone. Elle longs for adventure in her life, but whenever she gets close to embarking on her journey, something always seems to pull her back.
But Elle’s dreams of finding ‘the one’ and living a happy life together are far from lost, and before long Elle is faced with several potential love interests, all of whom are completely different in every possible way, but each of them capture her attention and leave her questioning what -and who – it is she really longs for in life.
I adored this book from the moment I began reading it. The characters are all so detailed and charismatic, providing so much humour and drive to this already enchanting story. Elle is a character that I connected with instantly. She has such a passion for life and love, and the friendships she has formed along the way play a huge role in who she is as an individual too.
The love interests we meet throughout the book are wonderfully unique and flawed in their own ways, as we all are. I did have a firm favourite of who I wanted Elle to end up with, but I really don’t want to give too much away about this book as it is really one you should discover yourself.
A beautifully written story that had me laughing out loud one moment, to making my heart feel all warm and fuzzy the next. This was a truly enjoyable read, and I certainly look forward to reading future books by Claire Huston.
