My Thoughts

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After reading all the previous Romantic Escape books by Kate Frost, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this latest story and lose myself in the Maldives!.

Freya has faced more than her fair share of troubles and heartache throughout her life, so when she comes across a job advertisement that would allow her to leave her job – and entire life in London behind her to run a bookshop on a beautiful island in the Maldives, it feels like a dream come true. Freya is in desperate need to escape her life for a while, and as we learn more about her as the story progresses your heart really goes out to this woman.

When Freya arrives in what can only be described as paradise, it is not only the books that begin to capture her attention!. It is safe to say that the Maldives has a healthy amount of eligible, swoon worthy men who show an interest in her, something that really made the story all the more gripping for me personally as I found myself trying to fathom who she would end up with at the end, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed with the outcome!

The fact that the story is based around Freya and the bookshop she is running makes this the perfect read for fellow bookworms, as escaping to a gorgeous island and being surrounded by books certainly sounds like paradise to me. Kate Frost has once again brought a picturesque setting to life so vividly in my mind, It allowed me the escapism that I so desperately needed right now.

Of course, there is a hefty amount of romance in this book, and this time it comes in the shape of Zander – the resort owner, and Aaron – the dive instructor, who catch Freya’s eye. Both of these men have very different approaches to life, not to mention contrasting personalities, all of which make the dialogue between the cast all the more entertaining.

An utterly gorgeous read that had me engrossed to the very end, I loved everything about this book.
