My Thoughts

In this story we meet Alice, a woman who it is safe to say is rather overwhelmed by the business responsibilities she has had forced upon her following rather tragic circumstances. This is not the route she would have chosen herself, but she is one of those characters that thrives to do what is best for everyone.
Then we meet Dan. He is one of the most loyal people you could ever meet, and his integrity and is remarkable, yet despite all of this, he has some serious confidence issues and doubts himself at every turn.
An effortless friendship blooms between Alice and Dan, but with Alice’s sights being set on the rather unattainable Ethan, she struggles to see the wonderful man who has been under her nose all along.
This book was such a joy to read. Alice is one of those characters you can’t help but love!. She has such a loving, fun personality that really shines through during her interactions with the men she meets in this hilarious story. I found myself rooting for her from the start, and wanting her to find her happiness wherever that may be.
The storyline is full of laugh out loud moments, alongside those that really touch your heart. Alice and Dan both have their own demons to overcome as the story progresses, but that just made them all the more relatable, and made me love them all the more for it.
Lindsay Woodward has once again given us a joyous, light-hearted read that brightens your mood from the moment you open the book. I loved this story, and look forward to Lindsay’s future releases.
