My Thoughts

Paparazzi is the second book in the Becky White thriller series, and after reading the first book and being totally engrossed by the story I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to dive back in to another gripping thriller by Jo Fenton.

In this book we are reacquainted with Becky White, who after leaving the police force six months ago and battling with PTSD, she is approached by Joanna – a friend from her past, who presents her an offer she finds almost impossible to refuse. This is when the White Knight Detective Agency is formed, and soon enough their first client comes to them with a rather peculiar case.

This first client turns out to be a young woman, who is a member of the paparazzi. She has come to them for help as she is being stalked, by a rather mysterious and troublesome character who is making her life a living hell. The case alone intrigues them, but things suddenly take a really dark turn – and it is only a matter of time before Becky and Joanna find themselves amidst a series of murders. Now it is their job to try and unearth who is behind these horrendous crimes, and stop them before any more lives are lost.

I found myself completely immersed in this story from the start. Throughout the story we get to delve in to the mind of the killer, and see the story being told from their perspective, something which I really enjoyed. It added so much depth to an already addictive story. The plot is well structured and refreshingly unique, Each chapter was filled with suspense and high drama, all of which makes this one of those reads you find yourself struggling to put down.

Wonderfully written, with an ending I could never have predicted. Jo Fenton has once again provided us with an thrilling, utterly captivating story.
