Buried For Good
On a remote island, everyone is a suspect…
When Private Investigator Hanlon is hired to protect famous yoga instructor Camille Anderson on her Scottish island retreat, she thinks this may be her simplest job yet.
But when an attack on Camille’s life goes wrong, it soon becomes clear that there is a murderer on the island – and Hanlon will stop at nothing to track them down.
With only a small group of guests the suspects are clear, but as the body count rises Hanlon must step up to find out who the killer is before itβs too late…
A tense, atmospheric page-turner from Alex Coombs. Perfect for fans of Angela Marsons and Lisa Regan.

Buried For Good is the third instalment in the Private Investigator Hanlon series. Set in Glasgow, and a remote Scottish Island, Ex Met Detective Hanlon is enlisted as protection for famed social media influencer and internet yoga star Camille Anderson after she has received several death threats. She agrees to take the job, and finds herself setting off to remote Scottish island where Camille hosts her back-to-nature retreats.
The first week passes by with little occurring, and at this point Hanlon thinks she has landed herself a rather quiet job. But then the second week arrives, and with it a whole new host of drama when two of the group of yogi’s are found dead. It is clear that they have a killer in their midst, and with there being very limited opportunities to leave the island, those that are left there feel trapped and in imminent danger.
Now Hanlon finds herself racing against the clock to uncover who the killer is, and to keep those around her safe at the same time.
This is such a gripping story that really has you on the edge of your seat at times. The way in which Alex Coombs brings the story to life is remarkable, and you can picture the Island that the story takes place on perfectly in your mind. As I have come to expect with novels by Alex Coombs, the characters all have deep, complex personalities, and as the story progresses we learn more about each of them and get a better insight as to how they have come to find themselves in such situations.
Perfectly paced, full of suspense with an abundance of twists and turns you don’t anticipate. This is a fantastic read that had me engrossed to the very last page.
