My Thoughts
If you want a light hearted book that will make you laugh out loud and feel so happy you could burst, then Uncork My Love is the book you need to read!.
The story is set in Napa Valley, meddling grandmothers Sherry and Loretta have their sights firmly set on bringing their grandchildren together in whatever way they can. What follows is a serious of captivating, truly hilarious scenarios orchestrated by their meddling family members, all of which aims to draw Ted and Ivy close to one another.
The romance that begins to blossom between Ivy and Ted is a gentle, slow burner – which made the story all the more captivating for me. They got to know one another better with every scheme they were pulled in to, and what begins to unfold between them is full of hilarious moments, alongside those that really pull on your heart.
Both Ted and Ivy are such likeable, relatable characters who you can’t help but find yourself rooting for as this story progresses. The easy banter that flows between these central characters is delightful and adds so much drive to this story. From their competitive streaks, to their softer sides, they both have personalities that have so many layers to discover as their relationship progresses. And I have to add that Ted is an absolute dream! he has such a warm, enchanting personality that makes it practically impossible to not find yourself swooning after him yourself.
The beautiful vineyard setting as brought to life wonderfully, and it was a much needed form of escapism we all so desperately need right now. I also have to mention Ivy’s fantastic fashion sense! I would happily wear some of the slogan tops she sports throughout this book, and each of them added more humour to this story that openly had me laughing out loud.
I adored everything about this gorgeous story. Rich Amooi has such a captivating way with words, you find yourself well and truly lost within the pages of this book, and feel as though you are living the story alongside the characters in which you come to love more and more every passing chapter. Full of romance, fun and charm, this is certainly my favourite of Rich Amooi’s books so far!.
