My Thoughts:
A perfect, original, and oh so modern Love story. It was practically impossible not to fall in love with this book!.
The storyline is so wonderfully paced and thought through that it has you hooked right from the start, making it almost impossible to put down at the best of times.
We follow the life of Frankie – a social media influencer who shares her whole life on her instagram account… but being seen so openly online can also have its downsides, as frankie quickly learns as she has to deal with a very public breakup with her boyfriend. Struggling to deal with the fallout, she decides to flee to a town with no internet… but as someone who spends most of her life online, it comes as quite the shock to the system. Thankfully a four legged friend helps Frankie stick it out for a while, and she soon starts to learn more about herself, and comes to realise that the perfect life the thought she had might not have been so perfect after all..
The supporting characters that appear throughout the book are equally lovable, and really do help bring out those Laugh out loud moments that Jo Watson so perfectly adds to her stories.
Throw into the mix the swoon worthy Mark, and of course the added bonus of the dog that Frankie acquires in her new life and you have all the ingredients for the perfect summer romance!
I could talk about this book all day long, but as always I really dont want to give away too many spoilers! But if, like me, you love a romantic comedy that truly grasps your attention from beginning to end then this is a definite must read.
